Dplus Kia’s ‘Showmaker’ Heo Su, who finished the first week of the LCK with 1 win and 1 loss, evaluated the recently concluded LCK Cup as ‘a good competition for growth.’

Dplus Kia won 2-0 in the match against Kiwoom DRX held at the LCK Arena at Grand Seoul LoL Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 4th. Dplus Kia, which lost its first game against Nongshim Red Force, finished the first week with 1 win and 1 loss.

In an interview after the match, Heo Soo said, “We lost 0-2 in the match against Nongshim Red Force, but I am happy that we won today’s match 2-0. I think we need to prepare well for next week’s match. I was confident during practice for the match against Nongshim. I thought we would win, but I made a lot of mistakes in both the first and second sets. The opponent played well, but there were a lot of negative factors.”

Heo Su, who assessed that the game on this day was tight, said, “After the LCK starts, I start to live my life harder every day. I am happy to be able to meet the fans in person. I want to make good memories for the fans by playing many games.”

Regarding placing 3rd in the LCK Cup, he said, “It was the first time working with new members. We finished in 3rd place, but it was disappointing when we went to Hong Kong and competed in the multi-finals.” He added, “When I think about it calmly after the end, the performance may have been disappointing, but I think the process itself was a good competition for us to grow.”

Heo Su, who said that teams seem to be making dominant picks in the current meta, said about the match against the next opponent, Hanwha Life Esports, “We are meeting Gen.G Esports with Hanwha Life Insurance, and if we get through the second week, I think this season will be easy,” and added, “I will prepare hard and show a good performance.”
