T1 Esports Academy and Dplus KIA secured direct spots in Round 2 by finishing first and second in the Challenge Group. KT Rolster, Nongshim RedForce, DN Supers, and Kiwoom DRX will battle it out from Round 1.
DN Supers claimed the 5th seed on the 24th by defeating Kiwoom DRX 3-1. ‘Lancer’ Han Jeong-heum was named Player of the Match after leading his team to victory.
BNK FearX fell to Hanwha Life Esports 3-0, but Kiwoom DRX managed to beat BNK FearX 3-1 on the 25th to secure the 6th seed. ‘AKaJe’ Choi Soo-hyuk’s pentakill in Game 4 earned him the Player of the Match title.
All playoff matches will follow a best-of-five format. KT Rolster will face Kiwoom DRX at 2:00 PM on the 31st in Round 1 of the Winners’ Bracket, while Nongshim RedForce will take on DN Supers at 5:30 PM.
The losing teams from Round 1 of the Winners’ Bracket will meet on September 7 at 5:00 PM in the Losers’ Bracket. On September 8 at 2:00 PM, T1 Esports Academy will clash with the victor from Round 1, followed by Dplus KIA facing off against the remaining winner at 5:30 PM.
The playoff matches will take place at WDG Studio Hongdae in Mapo-gu, Seoul. Riot Games Korea is overseeing the tournament, with the Korea e-Sports Association managing operations and WDG handling broadcast production. Woori Bank is participating as a sponsor.
