Renowned Rainbow Six turned diverse content creator, Nicholas “Jynxzi” Stewart, has announced plans to organize an influencer League of Legends tournament.
The tournament is scheduled for Monday, May 11th, at 10 PM CEST / 4 PM ET, with participating streamers likely to broadcast their own perspectives.
Who is participating in Jynxzi’s League of Legends tournament?
As per Jynxzi, the event will feature eight teams, each led by a captain. The teams primarily consist of average low elo players, with most rosters comprising Iron-to-Silver-ranked streamers. Teams may have one Diamond-ranked player or higher drafted to help balance the teams where feasible.
Jynxzi has confirmed that nearly 30 participants will join, with the lineup including a mix of familiar names in LoL, along with other content creators who are learning the game. The roster currently includes James “MrBeast” Donaldson (who aspires to own an LCS team in the future), Ludwig “Ludwig” Ahgren, Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp, and former professional League of Legends players Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng and Eugene “Pobelter” Park.

The tournament will be livestreamed on Jynxzi’s official Twitch channel, while many participants are expected to also stream their own perspectives live. Jynxzi initially aimed for 40 streamers, but these are the ones confirmed at present.
Amidst the wave of negative publicity, particularly regarding the declining esports ecosystem of LoL, all these former pros and non-endemics in LoL can bring significant value to the game. NA has a reputation for being a region driven by personalities, and currently, this is the kind of initiative the game truly needs.
