Riot Games has announced that Round 2 of the 2026 Woori Bank LCK Playoffs will start on September 1 at the Chzzk LoL Park LCK Arena in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
During the Play-In stage held from August 26 to 28, KT Rolster and BNK FearX emerged victorious. KT Rolster managed to defeat Hanjin Brion after a tense five-game series in Round 1. BNK FearX, on the other hand, triumphed over Nongshim RedForce and then staged a remarkable comeback against Hanjin Brion in the final match to secure a spot in the playoffs.
In the first round of the playoffs on August 29, T1 overcame BNK FearX with a 3-2 victory. Despite being down 1-2 in set score, T1 rallied back to even the series thanks to ‘Faker’ Lee Sang-hyeok’s Anivia. In Game 5, ‘Peyz’ Kim Su-hwan’s pentakill on Varus sealed their place in Round 2.
On August 30, KT Rolster swept Dplus KIA 3-0. They staged a remarkable turnaround in Game 2, erasing a deficit of over 10,000 gold and 10 kills. In Game 3, ‘Bdd’ Gwak Bo-seong became only the second player in LCK history to reach 3,000 career kills.
Gen.G, the first-place team in the regular season, selected KT Rolster as their opponent for Round 2 of the playoffs. Consequently, the runner-up Hanwha Life Esports will face T1. The Upper Bracket Round 2 match between Gen.G and KT Rolster is scheduled for September 1, while Hanwha Life Esports vs. T1 will take place on September 2.
On September 3, the first-round losers Dplus KIA and BNK FearX will compete in the Lower Bracket. This will be followed by the Lower Bracket Round 2 on September 4, the Upper Bracket Final on September 5, and the Lower Bracket Final on September 6. The three teams that emerge from this schedule will advance to the 2026 Woori Bank LCK Finals Series at the KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul from September 12 to 13.
In other news, Dplus KIA support player ‘Career’ Oh Hyeong-seok received the Round 4 ‘Woori WON, THE PLAY’ award. Oh played a crucial role in his team’s victory on August 14 in Game 3 against T1 by initiating two pivotal teamfights on Rakan.
The playoff matches will be streamed live on online platforms such as Chzzk and SOOP.
