On August 22, KRX suffered a 0-2 defeat in their last match against DNS in Round 4 of the ‘2026 LoL Champions Korea (LCK)’ held at the Chzzk LoL PARK in Jonggak, wrapping up their 2026 LCK matches with a record of 7 wins and 19 losses. Despite the outcome, KRX had already missed the chance to advance to the play-ins, but the final defeat left much to be desired.

Q. Today’s 0-2 loss must be disappointing for you.
Head Coach Cho Jae-eup: At some point, I started to feel that regardless of our position in the game, winning was a challenge that we couldn’t overcome. I take responsibility for that and apologize.
‘Frog’: We had a significant lead in Game 1, so it’s disheartening that we lost due to a mistake at Baron.
Q. With all your matches completed for the year, how would you assess your overall performance?
Head Coach Cho Jae-eup: In the early stages, as we were still trying to build synergy, we faced challenges in identifying our issues and preparing for the next rounds. Despite attempting various changes, we struggled to find effective solutions, leading to poor drafts and gameplay. As the head coach, I have gained valuable insights, and most importantly, the team’s lack of unity was evident even in our final game. I acknowledge my responsibility and offer my sincerest apologies to the fans.
‘Frog’: After initial losses, we built good momentum with two consecutive wins. However, we faced continuous defeats thereafter, resulting in our exclusion from the season, which is disappointing. Nevertheless, on a personal level, I have learned a great deal.
Q. What was the rationale behind swapping the support player in Game 2?
Head Coach Cho Jae-eup: Prior to Round 3, ‘Minous’ had been diligently preparing to become a starter. Given that this was our final match and the Challengers situation had become complex, we decided to provide him with the opportunity to play on the LCK stage, regardless of the match’s outcome.
Q. How was the experience of playing against top laners from the first team?
‘Frog’: Every single minion taken during the laning phase felt like a significant achievement, highlighting the considerable skill gap in everyone’s positioning.
Q. Any final thoughts to share?

Nonetheless, I appreciate the team for their unwavering trust in me until the end, and I extend my deepest apologies to the fans.
