Although T1 ranked highest among Korean teams, it did not reach the championship (Source = PUBG eSports official SNS).

The Korean teams continued to compete for the championship until the end, but ultimately failed to reach the top.

Krafton held the ‘PGS 3’ Grand Final, the last competition of ‘PUBG Global Series (PGS)’ Circuit 1, at ‘PUBG Seongsu’ in Seongdong-gu, Seoul from the 3rd to the 5th.

Starting this year, the global competition structure was reorganized, grouping the three PGS into one ‘circuit’ and introducing differential payment of prize money and points. Accordingly, this ‘PGS 3’ Grand Final was held as a series final that concludes the entire Circuit 1.

In this competition, which pitted the top 8 teams in cumulative PGC points from Series 1 and 2 against the top 8 teams in the survival stage, DN Supers and T1 advanced with points, and Crazy Raccoon finished in 6th place in the survival stage.

On day 1, the competition for lead between the Korean and Chinese teams was fierce. China’s 17 Gaming and Petrico Road ranked first and second, respectively, while Crazy Raccoon ranked third with 39 points, led by Chicken in three games. T1 also secured chicken in 4 games and ranked 4th by 3 points, and DN Supers also continued its competition for the top spot with 32 points from 1 chicken.

On the second day, the flow fluctuated greatly. Virtus Pro, who scored only 21 points the previous day, immediately jumped to the lead by sweeping 63 points in one day. On the other hand, except for Crazy Raccoon taking an extra chicken, the Korean teams overall faltered and stayed in 5th, 7th, and 9th place, respectively.

On the third and final day, T1 succeeded in rebounding. T1 started to chase by adding 28 kills and 34 points, and tied with 17 Gaming with a final score of 93 points. However, he finished the competition in 3rd place, ahead in ranking points and number of chickens.

Crazy Raccoon ranked 5th with 2 Chickens, 59 kills, and 91 points, leaving a disappointing result, only 2 points behind 17 Gaming. DN Supers ranked 11th with 50 kills and 85 points per chicken.

The victory belonged to Virtus Pro. Virtus Pro, who dominated the trend with a large number of scores on the second day, added 23 kills per chicken on the third day, scoring a total of 136 points, beating second place eArena by 35 points and comfortably taking the top spot.

Meanwhile, with all three Circuit 1 competitions concluded, T1 ranked 5th in the prize money rankings with a total prize money of $37,000 (about KRW 55.6 million). Crazy Raccoon and DN Supers each earned 17,000 dollars (about 25.55 million won) and tied for 9th place.
