One of the biggest surprises at VALORANT Masters Santiago’s playoff stage is Nongshim RedForce’s undefeated journey through the bracket. The Korean team, entering as the top seed from the Pacific league, has emerged as a dark horse with wins over Gentle Mates and G2 Esports in the early playoff matches.
Hosted at Espacio Riesco, Masters Santiago brings together top teams from different regions in Riot Games’ tactical shooter esport. The playoffs, held from March 7 to March 11, set the stage for an intense final weekend of competition.
Nongshim’s playoff journey started strong with a 2-0 victory over Gentle Mates on March 7. Players like Park “Ivy” Sung-hyun and Lee “Dambi” Hyuk-gyu showcased exceptional skills, securing wins and advancing in the tournament.
In the upper bracket second round against G2 Esports, Nongshim faced tough competition but managed to secure a 2-1 series win with standout performances from Lee, Park, Kim “Francis” Moo-bin, Jung “Xross” Hwan, and Goo “Rb” Sang-min.
The upcoming upper bracket final will see Nongshim go head-to-head against NRG, the winners of VALORANT Champions 2025. Nongshim’s potential advance to the grand final could set the stage for an all-Pacific championship match, showcasing the region’s dominance in international Masters titles.
