Gravity Game Arise (GGA), the Japanese branch of the global game company Gravity, recently announced its participation in the indie game exhibition known as ‘Tokyo Game Dungeon 13’ (‘Tokyo Game Dungeon’).
Gravity Game Arise has a history of showcasing its diverse range of indie games at various gaming events like ‘BitSummit’ and ‘Tokyo Game Show.’ This participation allows them to not only present their existing portfolio but also to explore new titles with potential and quality.
Scheduled for August 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center Hamamatsucho-kan, this year’s Tokyo Game Dungeon is Japan’s largest indie game exhibition. It offers visitors the opportunity to engage with games created by individual developers and small teams, fostering direct interaction with the creators.
Gravity Game Arise intends to showcase titles like ‘JALECO ARCADE COLLECTION Vol. 1’ and ‘JALECO ARCADE COLLECTION Vol. 2,’ along with the atmosphere-reading game ‘Kuukiyomi: Consider It! World (Korean Ver.)’ as its main attractions. Additionally, they will feature games such as ‘Aeruta,’ ‘Hashire Hebereke EX,’ ‘LIGHT ODYSSEY,’ and ‘Galvatein: Adventurers’ Guild.’
Of particular note is the unveiling of 12 previously unreleased titles from the ‘JALECO ARCADE COLLECTION Vol. 1 & Vol. 2.’ These include classic favorites like ‘P-47 ACES’ and ‘BIG RUN.’ ‘P-47 ACES’ offers a side-scrolling shooter experience where players select one of four aces with unique aircraft to traverse eight front lines, supporting two-player co-op for a realistic combat feel. On the other hand, ‘BIG RUN’ provides an exhilarating racing experience through natural landscapes while dodging rival vehicles.
‘Kuukiyomi: Consider It! World (Korean Ver.)’ is a Korean version of the popular atmosphere-reading game series enjoyed by over 10 million players globally. It captures Korea’s unique cultural nuances and everyday scenarios, offering both single-player and two-player modes for easy gameplay.
Gravity Game Arise has also arranged on-site events for attendees, providing special perks to those who demo the main titles. Exclusive merchandise will be available for those exploring other featured games.
Director Park Hyun-jun shared, “Gravity Game Arise is dedicated to showcasing unique indie games, both self-developed and published, at various events in Japan, a region known for its thriving indie game scene. Our participation in this event allows us to stay abreast of current trends and gather feedback on our new titles.” He added, “As our main exhibits are gearing up for multi-platform release, we invite you to join us and experience the allure of indie games firsthand.”
