
Hanwha Life Esports earned their spot in the Esports World Cup (EWC) by dominating Dplus KIA 3-0 in the ‘Road to EWC’ qualifier held at the SOOP Colosseum in Sangam on the 26th. Known as the ‘Demolition Tank,’ Hanwha Life Esports lived up to their nickname with a truly destructive performance.
The first set saw Hanwha Life Esports taking the lead with ‘Zeus’ Choi Woo-je’s impactful Rumble play, securing early kills and objectives. Despite Dplus KIA’s attempts to rally, Hanwha Life Esports maintained control and closed out the set with strong macro play.
In the second set, Hanwha Life Esports continued their dominance with aggressive side-lane plays and solid defense, securing another victory. The third set showcased Hanwha Life Esports’ skill synergy and strategic gameplay, leading to a clean sweep and a gold lead exceeding 10k by the 25-minute mark.
