Method, a UK-based esports organization and 12-time World First raid guild, has revealed a new collaboration with Glorious Gaming in preparation for the upcoming Race to World First event in World of Warcraft. This partnership follows their previous alliance with SCAN, a computing supplier based in Bolton, for the last race.

Throughout the Race to World First competition and beyond, Method’s team will be utilizing gear from Glorious Gaming. Pat Wachedorf, the CEO of Glorious Gaming, expressed that this partnership aligns with the brand’s values, emphasizing that Method’s Race to World First is considered one of the most challenging tests in competitive gaming.

While the exact details regarding the start of Season 2 of Midnight and the next Race to World First (12.1) have not been disclosed yet, it is evident that Method is gearing up for this significant challenge.

Established in 2005 as a World of Warcraft raiding guild, Method has evolved into a prominent name in esports. The Race to World First event is a defining aspect of their identity, involving a grueling competition to be the first team globally to conquer WoW’s latest raid on its hardest difficulty. This event, spanning over two decades, has become a highlight in the MMORPG community, with Method consistently playing a central role.

Despite organizational changes, Method remains competitive, particularly with its splinter group Echo and North America’s Team Liquid, the reigning champions of the last four events. Method usually secures third place and consistently contends for second place on tougher bosses.

Known for its high-performance, lightweight peripherals tailored for competitive players, Glorious Gaming is a Dallas-based PC gaming hardware brand renowned for its mice, keyboards, and mousepads. Their mouse lineup, renowned for precision and build quality, is a natural fit for an organization where split-second inputs can determine the outcome of a World First kill versus a wipe. Notably, they do not offer MMO mice with 14 programmable buttons.

In addition to the Race to World First partnership, Method has been broadening its horizons in recent months. They recently introduced a dedicated indie game space on their website to showcase and support smaller game developers. This move signifies a significant shift for an organization that initially made a name for itself in the MMO realm. Method has also ventured into creating guides and evergreen content, with their raiders and high-tier players contributing guides on their classes and specs. Expanding into guides and coverage of other popular indie titles represents a natural progression for the organization’s content strategy.
