In 2027, the Call of Duty League is set to return to Europe and the UK, bringing high-level competition back to the region. The action kicks off on February 12 with a European event, followed by Major II at DreamHack Birmingham in April. Insider Gaming has reported that the season will be played on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.

For fans in the region, this schedule marks a significant shift, with two live events scheduled on this side of the Atlantic. Birmingham, known for hosting record-breaking Call of Duty esports events, will once again be a key location in the league’s lineup.

Responding to the demand for more live events, the league has added a European stop and a return to Birmingham, providing teams and fans with multiple opportunities to experience the CDL in person. The season will culminate in the Call of Duty League Championship, the location of which has yet to be revealed.

From Europe to the West Coast, the calendar takes shape

While the European event on February 12 is the first on the schedule, the exact location is still a mystery. Major II is scheduled for April at DreamHack Birmingham, with Toronto hosting Major III in May.

Major IV is slated for June 18 on the West Coast, with California being a potential location. The season will conclude with the Call of Duty League Champs starting on July 8, hosted by OpTic Texas.

With these dates in place, teams now have a clear path from the European kickoff to the championship, although venue details are still pending. European talent will also play a significant role in the upcoming season of the CDL.

Pro-Am events elevate the competitive landscape

Amateur teams will have their moment in the spotlight with the inclusion of LAN Pro-Am events at Major II in Birmingham and another Pro-Am at Major IV. These events will bring Challengers teams into the mix alongside the top division, showcasing the breadth of talent in the league.

Major III will introduce a play-in round, adding a new dimension to the event format. While additional events and circuits are hinted at in the schedule, specific details have not been disclosed.

OpTic Texas is set to host Champs, but the location is still a mystery. The organization has hinted at the possibility of hosting the championship outside North America for the first time, although no official confirmation has been made.

Two key locations yet to be revealed

The European host location and the final venue for Champs are two major details that are still pending confirmation. Insider Gaming suggests that these announcements are expected in the near future.

As it stands, the European event on February 12 and the subsequent event in Birmingham in April are the only confirmed dates. The choice of location for these events will shape the narrative of the season and the live-event experience for fans.
