NAVI tied with Team Liquid ID at the end of the MPL Indonesia Season 18 regular season, narrowly missing out on first place due to game difference. Despite this, their second-place finish secures them a spot in Round 2, putting them just two series wins away from the M8 World Championship. Meanwhile, defending champions Bigetron by Vitality and ONIC have to start in Round 1.

During the MPL Indonesia Season 18 regular season from August 14 to October 18, NAVI and Team Liquid ID finished with identical records, with the latter securing the top spot based on net game wins. Liquid ID ended with a 26-11 game record, while NAVI finished with 25-12.

Securing second place is still a significant achievement for NAVI, as it allows them to bypass the first round of the playoff bracket and proceed directly to Round 2. NAVI expressed that this accomplishment is unparalleled in their organization’s history.

Despite defeating Team Liquid ID twice during the season, NAVI’s efforts were not enough to secure the top seed. The head-to-head matchups favored NAVI, with a clean sweep victory in August and a 2-0 win in the closing weeks. However, the game difference remained the deciding factor.

Following the top two teams, Alter Ego and Bigetron by Vitality finished with records of 10-6, while EVOS went 8-8 and ONIC ended with 7-9. Dewa United, RRQ Hoshi, and Geek Fam did not make it to the playoffs.

The stakes are high beyond just Indonesia, as the finalists of the playoffs qualify for the M8 World Championship in Türkiye. NAVI is now just two series wins away from the prestigious event, with a prize pool of approximately $270,000. The M8 Swiss Stage is scheduled to take place at Istanbul’s ESA Arena from January 3 to 10, 2027, with the grand final set for January 23, 2027, featuring a $1,000,000 prize pool.

Bigetron and ONIC Face Elimination Matches

The final standings in Indonesia have shifted, with defending champions Bigetron by Vitality and last season’s runners-up ONIC now facing elimination in the playoffs. Both teams, who also qualified for MSC 2026, begin their playoff journey with a single series facing elimination.

The playoff bracket kicks off with two best-of-five matches, with Alter Ego taking on ONIC at 13:00 ICT and Bigetron by Vitality facing EVOS at 18:00 ICT.

NAVI awaits the winner of the Alter Ego vs. ONIC matchup for their Round 2 clash at 13:00, also in a best-of-five format. Team Liquid ID will follow suit at 18:00 on the same day. For fans of NAVI’s CS2 and Dota 2 teams, the Mobile Legends tournament provides an exciting new avenue to support their favorite organization. The lower bracket final is scheduled for November 7, with the best-of-seven grand final set for November 8.
