Gen.G Esports and BNK PeerX, participating in First Stand (FST), the first international competition this year, departed for Sao Paulo, Brazil, the site of the showdown.
This tournament, held in Brazil nine years after the 2017 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), will feature Gen.G, BNK (LCK), Bilibili Gaming, JD Gaming (LPL), G2 Esports (LEC), Team Secret Wales (LCP), Lion (LCS), and Loud (CBLoL).
There are several ways to get from Korea to Brazil, the most common being via the United States or Europe. The duration is 30 hours (including stops). BNK is from the US and Gen.G is via Europe. In the case of BNK, as their entry into the first stand was confirmed late, they are leaving the country in separate groups, and ‘Big Ra’ Lee Dae-gwang is said to be leaving the country separately with the staff. On this day, BLG also headed to Brazil, where the competition was held.
Meanwhile, Gen.G will face JD Gaming in the group stage, and BNK will face Bilibili Gaming.
