JD Gaming’s ‘HongQ’ Tsai Ming-hong, who escaped the threat of being eliminated from the first stand by holding Loud, said that he wants to show his best performance in this tournament.

On the 20th (Korean time), JD defeated Loud 3-0 in the Group B losers’ match of the First Stand Group Stage held at ‘Riot Games Sao Paulo’ in Sao Paulo, Brazil. JD, who won, will face Lion for advancement to the semifinals.

In an interview after the game, Hong Q expressed satisfaction with the victory, saying, “I am satisfied with today’s game. I want to use the momentum well and show a good performance in the upcoming game.” When asked about feedback after losing to Gen.G Esports in the winner’s match, he explained, “We talked a lot about ban picks. We talked a lot about what logic we would use to create combinations and how we would play them in-game when the combinations were actually completed.”

As for the reason why the champion selection changed compared to the match against Gen.G, he answered, “Hwei is a champion that focuses on farming and poking. I chose it because I thought it would be good considering the combination.”

‘Hong Q’ is participating in the First Stand for the second year in a row since last year. He emphasized, “Thanks to my various experiences participating in international competitions, I was able to play the game with a comfortable mind,” and added, “I will show my best in this competition.”

Regarding adapting to Brazil, he said, “It’s good, I need to adapt to the time difference a little, but I tried to show my best form as possible,” and “Practice is going well.”

Regarding the final match against Lion, ‘Hong Q’ pledged, “We will continue this momentum and show a stronger and better performance.”
