The Esports World Cup 2026 brings together more than 200 clubs to Paris for 25 tournaments in 24 games, with a total prize pool of $75 million. This massive event offers a comprehensive view of the esports club economy. Esports Charts has examined the publicly disclosed partners of participating organizations to explore the most active brands and categories and how sponsorship portfolios vary across regions.

EWC 2026: A Look at the Global Esports Sponsorship Market

The analysis includes 212 clubs participating in EWC 2026 from the global competitive gaming ecosystem. Among these, 40 have EWC Club Partner status, receiving direct financial and strategic support from the Esports World Cup Foundation to enhance their brands.

EWC Club Partners have significantly larger publicly disclosed sponsorship portfolios compared to other participating clubs. In the dataset, there are over 890 disclosed partnerships involving more than 640 unique brands.

On average, each club has 4.25 disclosed sponsors. Club Partners, on the other hand, average 7.72 sponsors, while the remaining participants average 3.43 — a difference of more than twofold. EWC 2026 Teams Sponsors AnalysisThis disparity should not be solely attributed to the program. Club Partners are chosen based on competitive performance, audience engagement, and long-term growth plans, leading to structural differences between the two groups. While the status offers valuable context for comparison, it should not be the sole measure of a club’s commercial value or sponsorship effectiveness.

A Diverse Market Dominated by Hardware and Peripherals

The publicly disclosed sponsorship market surrounding EWC 2026 participants is highly diverse. Out of the 640+ brands identified, 86.3% — or 550+ brands — sponsor only one club. Even the top five sponsors account for just 9.8% of all partnerships.

Within the EWC 2026 club sample, sponsorship activity is spread across various global advertisers. Major international companies coexist with numerous regional and local businesses targeting specific club audiences and markets.

The brands in the dataset span 19 categories beyond endemic gaming companies, including financial services, automotive, fashion, food and beverage, telecom, healthcare, travel, and public-sector organizations.

Gaming Hardware & Peripherals stands out as the largest category in the dataset, representing 27.1% of all partnerships. Leading brands like Logitech, ZOWIE, Razer, and ASUS ROG from this segment support clubs across multiple regions. Over half of the EWC 2026 participants have at least one hardware or peripherals partner.

Brands Sponsoring the Most Club Program Teams

The category extends beyond global manufacturers, with clubs in markets like Japan and South Korea collaborating with domestic peripheral and PC-system brands, showcasing the localized nature of endemic sponsorships.

Food & Beverage emerges as the second-largest category, with 74 brands contributing to 102 partnerships, making up 11.5% of the dataset. Key sponsors in this category include Red Bull and Monster Energy.

Aside from major players, the category encompasses various businesses such as major restaurant chains like McDonald’s and KFC, alongside local producers and retailers offering beverages, snacks, and other consumer products.

This diversity enables clubs to engage with multiple food and beverage partners simultaneously, as their products often cater to different subcategories without direct competition.

Esports & Gaming Services ranks third, with 63 brands and 73 partnerships. This category encompasses gaming platforms, marketplaces, skin-trading services, and other gaming-focused enterprises. The most active brand in this category is SKIN.Club, supporting five European clubs.

Consumer Electronics & Mobile presents one of the most concentrated brand distributions in the dataset. With 15 brands and 26 partnerships, Infinix and realme account for 42.3% of the category’s total.

Media, Streaming & Entertainment exemplifies regional sponsorship focus. Chinese clubs predominantly partner with Douyu, Huya, and Bilibili, while SOOP features prominently in South Korean and other East Asian portfolios.

The five largest categories collectively represent 59.3% of all recorded partnerships, with the remaining distributed across a wide array of industries, both endemic and non-endemic.

Variations in Sponsorship Portfolios by Region

Europe boasts the highest number of teams participating in EWC 2026 and leads in sponsorship volume across all regions, with over 250 partnerships involving more than 200 unique brands. Red Bull, Logitech, Razer, and SKIN.Club are among the region’s most active sponsors.

European club portfolios feature major global sponsors alongside numerous locally focused businesses, including those from financial services, food, recruitment, real estate, and healthcare sectors.

Even among endemic sponsors, there is diversity. Turkish clubs, for instance, collaborate with domestic hardware manufacturers like WRAITH and gaming-chair brands such as EXVEGA instead of relying solely on global entities.

Europe’s sponsorship lead is primarily due to its participant base size rather than exceptionally large club portfolios. European teams average 4.3 disclosed sponsors, slightly above the overall average.

East Asian clubs boast the highest average number of disclosed partners among the major regions in the dataset, with over six sponsors per team.

Although East Asia represents only 11.4% of participating clubs, it contributes to 16.3% of all recorded partnerships. Notable brands like Logitech support eight clubs in the region, while GALLERIA and SOOP sponsor five each. Partnerships across the region span technology, financial services, automotive, food, and lifestyle categories.

Southeast Asia’s 29 clubs account for 137 partnerships, averaging 4.72 sponsors per club — higher than the European average.

Key sponsors in the region include ZOWIE, Logitech, realme, TT RACING, and Infinix. Mobile, telecom, payment, and FMCG brands have a strong presence in Southeast Asian club portfolios. The region also stands out for partnerships in lifestyle and travel, encompassing streetwear, airlines, and hospitality brands.

South Asia’s average sponsorship count masks significant variation. While clubs in the region average over five disclosed sponsors, the median is three. This discrepancy is largely due to GodLike, which lists over 20 partners on its website alone.

The dataset also includes tournament-specific mobile partnerships, with official smartphone sponsors changing for each competition. Beauty and personal care brands feature prominently in South Asian portfolios, covering cosmetics, skincare, haircare, and fragrances.

North American club portfolios exhibit high fragmentation. The region’s 24 clubs have 102 partnerships, representing 11.4% of both clubs and sponsorship deals in the dataset. Each club averages 4.25 disclosed sponsors, aligning with the overall average.

No brand sponsors more than four North American clubs. Razer leads with four, followed by ZENNI with three, while ASUS ROG, CORSAIR, Logitech, Oakley, and SCUF support two organizations each. The region’s sponsorships span endemic hardware companies, fashion, food and beverage, financial services, betting, and lifestyle brands.

North America is also unique in featuring disclosed partnerships with U.S. military organizations, including the Air Force, Navy, and Army National Guard.

EWC 2026 Club Sponsorship

South America mirrors this trend. All 14 clubs have at least one disclosed partner, averaging 4.64 sponsorships per team. Even the most active sponsors in the region collaborate with only two organizations, reflecting a market driven by club-specific and locally focused partnerships.

Chinese club portfolios focus heavily on domestic streaming platforms, manufacturers, and consumer brands compared to other regions. Due to the concentration of Chinese communications on domestic platforms, publicly disclosed partnership data for Chinese clubs may not be directly comparable.

MENA club portfolios have the smallest disclosed sponsorship portfolios among major regional samples. However, this does not imply weak demand or an underdeveloped market, as the dataset does not assess deal value, duration, or commercial impact.

These portfolios often feature prominent domestic institutions like banks, airlines, football clubs, entertainment venues, and government-backed entities.

Key Insights for Brands from EWC 2026 Club Portfolios

The prevalence of single-club sponsors indicates that entering esports doesn’t necessarily require a global, multi-team strategy. While established hardware brands like Logitech, ZOWIE, Razer, and ASUS ROG engage with multiple regions, most companies in the dataset focus on a single club, market, or community. Regional trends vary significantly: East Asian clubs have the largest disclosed sponsor portfolios, Europe offers a wide range of participating organizations, and mobile, telecom, and payment brands are notably visible in South and Southeast Asia.

EWC 2026 Global vs Local brands

However, the number of disclosed partnerships alone doesn’t indicate their value or effectiveness. Brands should also consider factors like audience geography, viewership, demographic alignment, category exclusivity, content formats, and activation opportunities when selecting a club. EWC 2026 participants offer various entry points, but choosing the right partnership depends on how well a club’s audience and regional influence align with the campaign’s objectives.
