NVIDIA revealed a series of collaborative projects with major South Korean companies such as Samsung Electronics, SK hynix, and Hyundai Motor Group during NVIDIA GTC 2026, the largest AI and accelerated computing conference in the world, held in San Jose, California.

This year, NVIDIA showcased key examples of the technology partnerships it has established with South Korean companies, covering areas from next-generation memory technologies for AI infrastructure to data center solutions and autonomous driving technologies.

Samsung Electronics Introduces Next-Generation Memory Technology for NVIDIA AI Infrastructure

At GTC 2026, Samsung Electronics displayed a variety of products and solutions aimed at supporting the development of AI systems. The exhibition featured three zones—AI Factory, Local AI, and Physical AI—and highlighted Samsung’s ability to offer comprehensive memory solutions based on next-generation memory architectures like GDDR7, LPDDR6, and PM9E1.

In a separate NVIDIA Gallery event, Samsung emphasized its collaboration with NVIDIA by presenting its most advanced memory technologies tailored for NVIDIA AI infrastructure, including HBM4, SOCAMM2, and PM1763.

In addition to the exhibition, Yong Ho Song, Head of the AI Center at Samsung Electronics, delivered a presentation titled “Transforming Semiconductor Engineering with Agentic AI from Design to Manufacturing” on Tuesday, March 17. He discussed how AI and digital twins are revolutionizing semiconductor manufacturing processes through innovations in electronic design automation (EDA) and computational lithography, while also sharing practical use cases involving advanced manufacturing facilities powered by NVIDIA.

SK hynix Presents AI Memory Technology Developed in Collaboration With NVIDIA

Under the theme “Spotlight on AI Memory,” SK hynix showcased AI memory technologies and solutions resulting from its partnership with NVIDIA.

At the NVIDIA Collaboration Zone within its booth, SK hynix demonstrated real-world applications of its memory products—such as HBM4, HBM3E, and SOCAMM2—tailored for NVIDIA AI platforms. By showcasing the memory configurations used in AI accelerators based on accelerated computing through physical models and actual hardware, the company underscored the importance of memory technology in future AI infrastructure. The exhibition also featured NVIDIA DGX Spark, a desktop AI supercomputer equipped with SK hynix LPDDR5X.

In conjunction with the exhibition, Seung Yong Do, Vice President at SK hynix and head of DT, participated as a co-speaker in a session titled “Building the Future of Manufacturing,” where he discussed the future of AI-driven manufacturing and the crucial role of memory technology in enabling high-performance AI.

Hyundai Motor Group Expands Collaboration on Autonomous Driving Technology With NVIDIA

During GTC 2026, NVIDIA announced an expansion of its strategic collaboration with Hyundai Motor Group to develop next-generation autonomous driving technology based on the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion platform.

The partnership aims to integrate Hyundai Motor Group’s software-defined vehicle (SDV) capabilities, global vehicle fleet, and expertise in autonomous driving development with NVIDIA’s accelerated computing, AI infrastructure, and autonomous driving software.

Through this collaboration, Hyundai Motor Group plans to incorporate NVIDIA autonomous driving technologies that support Level 2 and higher systems into selected vehicles, enhancing both safety and intelligent driving functions. NVIDIA also intends to expand its partnership with Motional, Hyundai Motor Group’s autonomous driving joint venture, to accelerate Level 4 robotaxi capabilities and the development of next-generation autonomous mobility services.

NVIDIA Continues to Enhance AI Ecosystem Collaboration With South Korean Companies

NVIDIA is actively strengthening its partnerships with South Korean companies as part of its efforts to expand the global AI ecosystem.

Notably, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang visited Korea last year during the APEC CEO Summit and expressed his willingness to collaborate in expanding the country’s AI infrastructure. Since then, NVIDIA has been broadening its technology collaborations and industrial partnerships with South Korean companies.

At GTC 2026, numerous South Korean companies and experts are participating in sessions and exhibitions, with various technical sessions tailored for South Korean AI specialists. Through these initiatives, NVIDIA aims to further expand its collaboration with South Korean companies and the developer community in South Korea.
