Super Metroid Remake Rumored to be Close, New Wario Land Possibly Due in 2027

A well-known leaker, Nate the Hate, has provided some insights into the next wave of first-party games from Nintendo. The first game reportedly set for release is a new “classic-style” Star Fox game with impressive visuals and multiplayer capabilities, expected to hit the shelves in June. Additionally, titles like “Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave,” “Splatoon Raiders,” “Rhythm Heaven,” and a new “Switch Sports” game designed for the upcoming Switch 2 are speculated to launch in the summer of 2026.

Excitingly, a remake of the iconic “The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time” is said to be in development for the Nintendo Switch 2, aiming for a late 2026 release. Another highly anticipated game, FromSoftware’s multiplayer-focused exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2, titled “The Duskbloods,” is rumored to debut around the same time. Fans can also look forward to a new 3D Mario game set to launch in 2027.

Interestingly, an anonymous user had shared a similar list of Nintendo game leaks before Nate the Hate’s revelations, adding details such as the arrival of “Super Metroid,” a new “Switch Sports” title, a potential Wario Land game in 2027, and an Ocarina of Time remake expected this year.

The possibility of a “Super Metroid” remake has been circulating for some time, while fans of the Wario Land series have been eagerly anticipating a new installment since the last release in 2008. Nintendo’s use of the Wario character in recent party games like “WarioWare: Get it Together!” and “WarioWare: Move It!” has kept the character in the spotlight.
