Star Wars: Galactic Racer is set to launch on Amazon Luna’s cloud gaming service, available to Prime subscribers right from the start.

Created by Fuse Games and brought to you by Secret Mode, players on Amazon Luna will have access to Galactic Racer’s single-player campaign, as well as its Arcade and Scenario gameplay modes.

Arcade mode offers quick, time-based challenges with specific goals, while Scenarios provide longer gameplay with unique rules and characters to race with.

Upon release, the game will be available on Luna alongside other platforms like Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

“Luna players can dive straight into the single-player campaign without the need for a console or lengthy downloads,” says Amazon’s Head of Gaming, Jeff Gattis, in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz.

“For Prime members, the game is included at no extra cost, giving them instant access to the action. This is the kind of seamless gaming experience we aim to deliver on Luna, and we believe players will appreciate it.”

Amazon Luna debuted in the US in 2022 and expanded to the UK, Germany, and Canada a year later. Recently, the cloud gaming platform became part of Amazon’s Prime Video service in the UK and US.

With subscriptions like Ubisoft+ and integrated storefront libraries, Luna boasts a library of over 100 titles including Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Hogwarts Legacy, and EA Sports FC 26.

In a conversation with GamesIndustry.biz, Gattis discussed Luna’s future plans and Amazon Game Studios’ strategy to cater to gamers who may not own dedicated gaming hardware.

“There’s an audience that enjoys gaming but prefers not to play on a TV screen. We see this group as underserved,” Gattis explains.

“They may not be interested in competitive shooters but gravitate towards popular AAA titles. We focus on offering accessible games like Hogwarts Legacy, Indiana Jones, and upcoming titles like Tomb Raider. These games have broad appeal and are easy to pick up and play, with straightforward mechanics.”
