PGL Bucharest 2027 has confirmed all 14 of its direct invitees, with just two spots remaining to complete the 16-team lineup. The tournament is set to take place from January 17–24 in Romania, with the final spots up for grabs in an eight-team closed qualifier. The event details and accepted invitations were reported by HLTV.

The lineup for the 2027 Counter-Strike calendar in Bucharest is shaping up to be quite impressive, with all major teams on board. Fans have plenty to look forward to in January, as the tournament promises exciting matches and a competitive field.

A Competitive LAN Event with Limited Spots

The tournament will be held as a LAN event at PGL’s studio in Bucharest, with a prize pool of $1 million and an additional $400,000 in VRS bonuses. The invited teams were selected based on their ranking from the previous invitational in October.

Among the 14 confirmed invitees are well-known teams such as Spirit, Vitality, G2, and Astralis. The mix of established teams and rising stars promises an exciting competition for viewers.

The closed qualifier is scheduled for October 16–20, where eight teams will battle it out for the final two spots in the Bucharest lineup. This competition gives lesser-known teams a chance to compete with the best in the industry.

For a preview of how elite teams shape a tournament, fans can also look forward to Fissure Playground 3, another top-level event in the Counter-Strike 2 calendar.

Scheduling Conflicts in January

Bucharest’s tournament dates overlap with BLAST Bounty in Malta, creating a clash for teams deciding between the two events. While some teams have prioritized Bucharest, others are still weighing their options based on the competition and scheduling.

HLTV reported that top teams have shown a preference for Bucharest over Bounty, with BLAST’s invite list set to be announced soon. BLAST has also made changes to its tournament structure, reducing the number of teams and focusing more on in-person events.

Finalizing the Lineup

The upcoming closed qualifier from October 16–20 will determine the last two teams to join the Bucharest tournament, completing the 16-team roster. With a million-dollar prize pool, VRS bonuses, and a strong lineup of invitees, Bucharest promises to kick off the season with an exciting competition.

PGL Bucharest 2027 is scheduled to begin on January 17 and conclude on January 24. The remaining qualifier slots are the final pieces of what is shaping up to be a competitive and thrilling event for both players and fans.
