Nexon recently revealed that they have donated ₩10 million to the Chungbuk Disabled Football Association in honor of Cheongju Technical High School. This donation comes as a result of the ‘F-On Self-Study’ event, an initiative aimed at middle and high school students participating in EA SPORTS FC Online, where the top-ranking school had the opportunity to give back to a local public interest organization.
The ‘F-On Self-Study’ event, which took place from March 26 to April 29, allowed students nationwide to accumulate points by completing various FC Online missions. By linking gaming involvement to social impact, the initiative sought to promote the positive influence of teenagers through their voluntary actions.
At a donation ceremony held at Cheongju Technical High School on May 11, the Chungbuk Disabled Football Association received the official donation in the school’s name. The ceremony also featured a surprise performance by the popular girl group tripleS, much to the delight of the students present.
Song Chang-seop, Executive Director of the Chungbuk Disabled Football Association, expressed gratitude towards Cheongju Technical High School for their generosity, ensuring that the donation would be used to bring warmth and joy to those in need.
Looking ahead, Nexon plans to kick off the second round of the ‘F-On Self-Study’ event on May 21, featuring school-based competitions, rewards for students, and continued community donations.
