KT Rolster’s ‘BDD D’ Bo-seong Kwak, who won the first mobile carrier match this year, expressed satisfaction with his performance. At the same time, he expressed his disappointment about the recently revealed ‘Roll Bun Debate’.
KT won 2-0 over its mobile carrier rival, T1, on the opening day of the LCK held at the LCK Arena at Gran Seoul LoL Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 1st.
In an interview after the game, Kwak Bo-seong said, “During recent practice, I felt that the team’s unity was good. I think it came from our performance, so it was a satisfactory match. I didn’t expect it to be this bad. We didn’t give up the lead throughout the game. As soon as we played the first set, I thought we could win today.”
The player who performed well in today’s game was ‘Perfect’ Lee Seung-min. In particular, in the second set, he chose Vayne and overwhelmed Choi “Doran” Hyun-jun. Kwak Bo-seong praised him, saying, “(Lee) Seung-min showed that he is constantly trying to improve in some way,” and added, “I think that is reflected in his performance because he usually works hard. I was proud of him today.”
In response to a question about Top Vane, which has many likes and dislikes, he added, “Even if it fails a little, I think it will be strong in the second half. I think that’s why I use it.”
Every year in the LCK, before the season, panelists are invited to hold a ‘Roll Minute Debate’. This year’s panelists selected KT Rolster as an unexpected team. Commentator Go Soo-jin of ‘Kkoko God’ even predicted elimination from the playoffs. ‘Kimgun’ Kim Han-sam also gave a negative evaluation, saying, “I have no expectations.”
Kwak Bo-seong replied, “I saw the part where they talked about our team, and I felt a little disappointed. Personally, I’m a little close with ‘Kim’, but I was disappointed. On the surface, I think we can be evaluated that way because we didn’t do well in the LCK Cup.”
KT’s next opponent is Gen.G Esports. KT defeated Gen.G, who was on a winning streak whenever it mattered. If there is a win in today’s game, it is expected that there will be a change in the ranking battle.
Kwak Bo-seong did not let down his guard, saying, “I have experience winning two or three times a year, but I think that experience will be important,” and “I think I need to do my best as possible.”
Lastly, Kwak Bo-seong said, “There must have been a lot of people worried because our performance in the LCK Cup was not good,” and pledged, “Still, I’m glad that we won the opening game and made people happy. I will prepare well and do well in the next game as well.”
