Netmarble recently announced an exciting crossover update between its popular collectible RPG, Seven Knights Re:BIRTH, and the beloved anime series Solo Leveling on March 19th. This update introduced four new characters from Solo Leveling to the game, including Legendary heroes [Shadow Monarch] Sung Jinwoo and [Dancer] Cha Hae-In, as well as Rare heroes [Loyal Helper] Yoo Jinho and [Haeundae Response Team] Lee Joohee.
The collaboration also brought along a series of limited-time in-game events. Players had the opportunity to acquire Sung Jinwoo through a check-in event, while Cha Hae-In could be obtained through the story event ‘Hunters and Adventurers’ until April 2nd. Additionally, Point Mission and Special Mission events offered various rewards such as Solo Leveling Summon Vouchers and a Brilliant Skill Enhancement Stone.
Aside from the collaboration, the update also introduced a new feature called ‘Sudden Raid.’ This feature allows players to encounter one of three new boss monsters randomly after completing standard raids. Players have the freedom to choose the set and main stats of the reward equipment obtained through this mode.
Seven Knights Re:BIRTH is the latest addition to Netmarble’s successful Seven Knights franchise. With over 100 million cumulative downloads, the game retains the core essence of the original while incorporating updated gameplay mechanics.
This collaboration showcases Netmarble’s strategy of integrating major entertainment IPs into its games portfolio. The company has been aligning its titles with established franchises, and Solo Leveling has a strong connection with Netmarble through Solo Leveling: ARISE, an action RPG based on the same property.
Originally conceived as a web novel by Chugong, Solo Leveling expanded into a webtoon adaptation illustrated by DUBU of REDICE STUDIO before making its way to become an anime. Its increasing global popularity has made it a sought-after partner for game collaborations.
For more information on the update, players can refer to the game’s official website and forum, as stated in the release.
