AMD’s upcoming FSR 4.1 DLLs have once again surfaced online, marking a recurring occurrence. The latest leak involves AMD itself inadvertently releasing an updated version of the FSR 4.1 DLL file on its official website.
A Reddit user was quick to download the new DLL file before it was removed by AMD. This incident has sparked discussion on social media platforms, although it should be approached with caution.
AMD’s FSR 4.1 Launch Timing Aligned with Crimson Desert
A Reddit user named u/DeathToOrcs2 stumbled upon a new version of the FSR 4.1 DLL, named amdxcffx64.dll, on AMD’s official download/CDN endpoint. Dated March 2 and labeled version 2.2.0.1328, this version surpasses the previously leaked 2.1.0.968 iteration.
Subsequently, a newer file dated March 12 emerged, indicating rapid progress in the development of FSR 4.1. Despite this, AMD swiftly removed all FSR 4.1 DLL files from its public server.
Although an official announcement from AMD is pending, it is speculated that FSR 4.1 will debut alongside the launch of Crimson Desert. This highly anticipated game is scheduled to release on March 19, 2026, aligning with the expected release of the updated FSR 4.1 upscaler by Team Red.
The imminent launch of Crimson Desert presents an opportune moment for AMD to unveil the new FSR version. It is anticipated that the FSR 4.1 upscaler will be included in the Adrenalin 26.3.1 game-ready driver, potentially released on or before March 19, 2026, to coincide with the game’s debut.
