To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Persona series, SEGA Publishing Korea is making related anime content available for free for a limited time. The celebration kicks off with the release of the PERSONA3 THE MOVIE theatrical film series, followed by the Persona 4 and Persona 5 anime series on YouTube.
On August 7th, SEGA Publishing Korea CEO Ko Saito announced that all four parts of the PERSONA3 THE MOVIE theatrical film will be accessible for free on the official SEGA YouTube Channel until August 31st, in honor of the 30th anniversary. Subsequently, Persona 4 The Golden TV anime series and content related to PERSONA5 THE ANIMATION will also be released for a limited time.
The first release is the four-part PERSONA3 THE MOVIE, available for viewing until August 31st.
Following that, the 12-episode TV anime Persona 4 The Golden will be accessible from August 18th to September 17th. As for PERSONA5 THE ANIMATION, including The Day Breakers and two year-end specials, it will be available for a limited time from September 15th to October 14th.
In conjunction with the anime releases, an SNS campaign celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Persona series will be held. Under the theme ‘Passionate Messages for Persona,’ SEGA is gathering user messages with congratulations, memories, and words of support, limited to 30 characters. Submissions are accepted from August 4th to 16th, with selected comments to be featured in a commemorative video for the 30th anniversary and displayed on large digital billboards in major cities.
The Persona series achieved its 30th anniversary in 2026, following the debut of the first title, Revelations: Persona. This juvenile RPG series, set in modern-day Japan, blends everyday experiences like school life, friendship, and romance with occult occurrences, mysterious rumors, and urban legends.
The series delves into the stories of individuals who awaken to their ‘Persona’—an alternate self lying dormant within them, taking the form of a deity or demon—as they encounter, navigate through various incidents and trials, and mature.
