Red Bull Wololo: Londinium has reached full capacity ahead of its tournament dates from April 1st to April 6th, with the Age of Empires competition set to conclude at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London.

The eighth edition of Red Bull Wololo will showcase tournaments in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires IV, offering a total prize pool of $250,000 (~£193,000). The grand finale at Royal Albert Hall will also feature a 60-piece live orchestra performing music from the Age of Empires soundtrack.

This event’s significance lies in being the first esports event hosted at the renowned venue, as stated by Red Bull.

Previous editions of Red Bull Wololo have been held at iconic locations like Heidelberg Castle in Germany and El Reinado in Spain. This year’s event will see a lineup of players including Hamzah ‘Hera’ El-Baher, Dimitry ‘Vinchester’ Smirnov, Alexis ‘MarineLord’ Eusebio, and Juan ‘Vortix’ Moreno Duran.

All maps used at Red Bull Wololo: Londinium will be exclusive to the tournament, with plans to integrate them as official Age of Empires maps in the future, according to the announcement.

Red Bull Wololo: Londinium Schedule

The group stage will be held from April 1st to 3rd as a closed event, accessible only through livestream. Each day will feature Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition matches starting at 13:00 UTC, followed by additional best-of-five series at 15:00 UTC, 17:00 UTC, and 19:00 UTC.

The playoffs will then shift to the Odeon Luxe Cinema in Leicester Square on April 4th and 5th. Doors will open at 13:00 UTC on April 4th, with the first semifinal of Age of Empires IV commencing at 13:30 UTC. This will be followed by two rounds of six series for Age of Empires II at 15:30 UTC and 17:30 UTC.

On April 5th, the doors will open again at 13:00 UTC. The second semifinal of Age of Empires IV will start at 13:30 UTC, followed by two semifinal series of Age of Empires II at 15:30 UTC and 17:30 UTC.

The tournament will reach its climax on April 6th at Royal Albert Hall in South Kensington. The auditorium doors will open at 14:00 UTC, leading up to the grand final of Age of Empires IV at 14:30 UTC, followed by the Age of Empires II grand final at 17:00 UTC.

Tickets for both the playoffs and grand final have sold out. Fans who missed out on tickets can still catch the action on Red Bull’s Twitch and YouTube channels from April 1st to 6th.
