The LEC Spring playoffs bracket is set and ready to go. Team Vitality holds the first seed and will face off against MKOI in the upper bracket semifinals. However, the real excitement lies in the clash between Karmine Corp and G2 Esports, a rivalry that has captured the attention of the League of Legends community.
Vitality’s decision to choose MKOI as their opponent seems like a strategic move. While MKOI has shown potential, they are seen as a less consistent threat compared to Karmine Corp and G2. This matchup offers Vitality a clear path to victory in the LEC Spring playoffs, but MKOI has proven they can compete with the top teams.
The Vitality vs MKOI match kicks off the playoffs on May 23, followed by Karmine Corp vs G2 on May 24. Both series are best-of-five, with the upper bracket final scheduled for May 25. The winner of the first playoff weekend will secure a spot in the MSI play-ins.

G2 versus Karmine, a captivating modern rivalry?
G2 has a long history of success in the LEC, holding 18 titles to their name. However, Karmine Corp has brought a fresh energy to the league since joining in 2024. Their dominance in the 2025 Winter split, culminating in a 3-0 victory over G2 in the final, marked a significant moment in the league’s history.
Their win not only secured their first LEC title but also established them as a force to be reckoned with. The rivalry between G2 and Karmine Corp has only intensified, especially after G2’s victory in the 2026 LEC Versus grand final.
When is the LEC lower bracket being played?
The lower bracket matches will take place the following weekend. NAVI will face the first upper bracket loser on May 30, while GIANTX will take on the other on May 31. The lower bracket semifinal is scheduled for June 1, with the final set for June 6 and the grand final for June 7.
Teams that lose in the upper bracket will have to fight their way back through the lower bracket. This adds an extra layer of challenge for teams with aspirations of winning the title.
The upcoming match between Karmine Corp and G2 is set to be a thrilling encounter, pitting the old guard against the new challengers. This rivalry has the potential to shape the future of League of Legends in Europe and promises to be an exciting showdown.
