Wemade Max has announced the opening of pre-registration in Korea and Taiwan for their latest idle RPG, ‘Wind Runner: Idle,’ developed by their subsidiary LightCON.
‘Wind Runner: Idle’ offers a new take on Wemade Max’s popular casual IP, ‘Wind Runner,’ which has exceeded 60 million downloads, by transforming it into an idle RPG. The game maintains the beloved world and characters while introducing a fresh experience through a blend of character growth, collection, and flashy action.
Featuring a unique combo system for impactful combat, players can build combos during battles to trigger a powerful ‘Fever Burst’ skill in a ‘Fever’ state, adding depth and strategy to the gameplay.
Players can immerse themselves in hack-and-slash action as they face waves of monsters, customizing their growth paths by choosing from over 150 diverse heroes, summons, and mounts. The game also offers various content such as themed regions, dungeons, real-time PvP ‘Arena,’ and ‘Summoner Land’ for relaxation and housing elements.
Pre-registration is now open on Google Play and the Apple App Store in Korea and Taiwan, with participants receiving exclusive in-game rewards including the mascot character ‘Stella,’ rubies, and summon cards. The official launch is scheduled for July.
LightCON CEO Lee Gil-hyung expressed excitement about the project, stating, “This game revitalizes the beloved ‘Wind Runner’ IP by preserving its original charm while incorporating the engaging fun of an idle RPG. We are eager to present the game’s appeal to a wider audience through pre-registration and are committed to refining the game before its official release.”
