BitSummit recently announced the schedule for its 2027 edition, along with the winners of this year’s awards. The event took place during the closing ceremony of the ‘BitSummit PUNCH’ event.
Originally a small gathering in 2013, BitSummit has now become a significant indie game festival in Kyoto, Japan. In 2025, it attracted over 58,000 visitors, establishing itself as a key platform in the global indie game market.
The 15th edition of BitSummit is scheduled to take place from May 21 to 23, 2027, at Miyako Messe in Kyoto. General exhibitor applications are expected to open around November.
During the event, ’60 Bottles’ by Matrix Co., Ltd. and HINATA Inc. won the ‘POPULAR SELECTION AWARD,’ while ‘Finding Polka’ by lidlocks secured the ‘KIDS SELECTION AWARD.’ The awards ceremony and next event location announcement can be viewed on the official BitSummit YouTube channel.
