Bilibili Gaming’s (BLG) ‘Viper’ Park Do-hyeon, who defeated BNK PeerX in the first match of the First Stand, said he was disappointed not to be able to meet players from his former team, Hanwha Life Esports.
BLG achieved a 3-2 comeback victory over BNK PeerX in the opening match of the First Stand held at Riot Games Sao Paulo in Sao Paulo, Brazil on the 16th (Korean time). The victorious BLG will face the winners of G2 Esports and Team Secret Wales in the knockout stage.
Park Do-hyun said about the match against BNK in a post-game interview, “First of all, the opponent is a team that did well in the LCK. I had a lot of experience with them, so I knew how the opponent would play,” and said, “I said it would be good to take advantage of that. BNK showed its strengths a few times, but we were able to win by reducing mistakes.”
This is Park Do-hyun, who won the championship during Hanwha Life Esports last year. When asked whether the cheers of the Brazilian fans on site gave him strength, he said, “It was a shame that the Hanwha Life Insurance players who did not win in the first stand last year could not come,” and explained, “The cheers for this second competition were loud and the cheers of the fans gave me strength, and I had fun until the end.”
