Song “Bull” Seon-gyu, who led his team Loud to the CBLoL Cup championship, said that it was a “new challenge” as to why he chose to go to Brazil.

In an interview with First Stand Asset Day on the 15th (Korean time), Song Seon-gyu expressed his feelings about participating in the competition, saying, “It feels new because it is my first international competition. It is a competition where good teams from each region’s league come together. I think I will have a lot to learn. I think I have a good opportunity.”

In an interview in Brazil about choosing Loud, Song Seon-gyu cited ‘new challenges’ as the reason. He explained, “I knew that the Loud team was good,” and “When I watched the game in Brazil, the fans were very enthusiastic in their support. I thought it would suit my style. I chose Brazil because I wanted to challenge myself overseas.”

When asked about his fight with Red Canis Calunga ‘Frosty’ Jose Eduardo in the Brazilian solo queue, he said, “I saw him in the stadium and he was ‘cute’,” and “I’m not even angry. Rather than getting angry and thinking about winning, I just think I should have fun.”

He said that there was no language problem, and about the passion of the fans entering the CBLoL stadium, he said with a smile, “I use a headset, but I can hear the sound well during the battle. The fans’ cheers are strong,” and “Brazil’s cheering culture is fun.”

Loud’s first opponent is LCS Lock/In champion Lion. Song Seon-gyu said, “We had a good opportunity. In the America’s Cup, the Brazilian teams showed good performance against the North American teams,” and emphasized, “We think we can do this.”

Lastly, he said, “I want to show a clean performance against Lion,” and “If I meet a strong team, I want to respond well and show a good performance. There were good parts in Korea, but there were also disappointing points. Personally, I think I have grown a lot. I will prove it in this tournament and show that I have improved.”
