Jeong “Rain” Yun-jong, who lost the first game, kept his hopes for the quarterfinals alive by winning the consolation match against Lim “Organ” Jin-mook with a complete win.

On the evening of the 14th, Group B match was held on the second day of the round of 16 dual tournament of ‘Google Play ASL Season 21 (hereinafter referred to as ASL Season 21)’ at Freak Up Studio in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. In the loser’s match of Group B, which included Jang ‘Snow’ Yun-cheol, ‘Organ’ Jin-mook Lim, ‘Hero’ Jo Il-jang, and ‘Rain’ Yun-jong Jeong, ‘Rain’ Yun-jong Jeong (P) won with a set score of 2-0 over ‘Organ’ Jin-mook Lim (T).

In the first set that started on the match point map, Jin-mook Lim took his place at 1 o’clock and Yun-jong Jeong took his place at 7 o’clock. Yun-jong Jeong quickly confirmed the opponent’s base, captured one gas, and deployed multiplayer in the 3 o’clock area. He then sent Zealots up to hunt the marines, and countered the attacks of the marines deployed to the front yard, preventing them from entering the gate and even successfully striking an additional strike against the opponent’s main base.

In the end, Jeong Yun-jong, who succeeded in organizing all of Lim Jin-mook’s troops, finished the first set in 5 minutes and 32 seconds and took the set point.

Then, in the second set, where the battlefield was moved to the knockout map, Im Jin-mook set up his main camp at 7 o’clock and Jeong Yun-jong set up his main camp at 11 o’clock, and Lim Jin-mook first built a barracks to recruit troops and expanded the command center in the front yard. Jeong Yun-jong quickly sent down 4 Dragoons to attack the front yard, and while checking the opponent’s situation with an observer, he deployed a triple, expanded his troops, and blocked the entrance to the front yard area.

Jeong Yun-jong, who saw that Lim Jin-muk had chosen Goliath, drew a line with Dragoons on the hill, and with a combination of speed-up Zealots and Rivers, he destroyed Lim Jin-muk’s tank that came across the bridge. Jeong Yun-jong, who expanded the multiplayer at 1 and 2 o’clock and sent down a large number of troops after the population exceeded 180, easily cleared out the Terran troops deployed on the hill, and the Zealots deployed secondly entered the front yard and caused great damage.

Im Jin-muk, who resisted by distributing tanks and vultures, won one battle and expanded to the 6 o’clock area. He took a breather by installing a mine on the central hill, but it was not easy to expand his troops. Accordingly, Jeong Yun-jong gained the upper hand in troops by eliminating many tanks, then concentrated his attack on the 6 o’clock area and completely dominated the game, finishing the game in 21 minutes and 32 seconds and heading to the final match where Jo Il-jang was waiting.
