South Korea’s Tekken 8 representative for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games has been officially selected as KIWOOM DRX player Bae “Knee” Jae-min.
Following his victory at the Tekken 8 Final Stage of South Korea’s national esports team selection tournament, held at El Fuego in Mapo-gu, Seoul, Bae earned the right to represent his country at the upcoming Asian Games. The tournament, organized by the Korea e-Sports Association, saw Bae emerge victorious in a 64-player double-elimination bracket.
Notably, this will be the first time Tekken 8 is featured at the Asian Games, adding significance to Bae’s achievement. With impressive performances throughout the qualifiers and finals, Bae once again demonstrated his prowess in the game.
Pending final approval, Bae is set to compete for South Korea at the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan this September. The event, known in English as the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, will be a platform for Bae to showcase his skills on a larger stage.
A statement from a KIWOOM DRX representative expressed gratitude for Bae’s outstanding performance in the selection tournament and called for fans’ support as he gears up for the Asian Games.
