Riot Games unveils the newest addition to Valorant – Summit, along with a 3v3 mode and a new skin collection. All these will be available with Season 2026 Act 4 starting on June 24th. This announcement was made during the Masters London Grand Finals broadcast at the Copper Box Arena, where Paper Rex and Leviatán competed for the trophy. This follows Leviathan’s victory in the Valorant Masters: London event, representing South America with players from Chile, Brazil, and Argentina.
Summit: Valorant’s Latest Map with Sage Theme
Summit is located in a Radiant training academy in the Chinese mountains, where Sage studied before joining Valorant. It is the 13th map in the game with the standard two Spike sites and three-lane layout, but with a unique feature.
The standout feature of Summit is its three droppable walls – one on each A site, B site, and Mid. These walls can be triggered by shooting a specific node, blocking sightlines and rotation paths for the round. This mechanic can create interesting rotations, block off pathways for retakes, or be used tactically. The map will be immediately available for Competitive queue upon launch, with players losing 50% less RR for losses in the first two weeks. A Summit Only queue will also be available for a week in the Swiftplay format.
New Game Mode and Cosmetics
The new Retake game mode is a permanent 3v3 mode where one team defends the Spike site while the other attacks to defuse. The match runs to five round wins with sides swapping each round. Players will choose two cards at the start of each round – one for weapons and armor, and one for ability charges. These loadouts will escalate as the game progresses, using single bomb sites from existing maps in a curated map pool.
Additionally, Act 4 introduces the Blackspyre Collection, featuring a blend of sci-fi and mystical influences in a new set of cosmetics. The collection includes skins for Phantom, Sheriff, Spectre, Ares, and a new melee weapon – the Divide. The Battle Pass for Act 4 costs 1,000 VP and includes rewards like the Sky Reaper Ghost skin, Heal Up Squad player card, and Blep spray. More skins will be released throughout the season.
