This season, FNCS features trios instead of duos for the first time, resulting in many iconic duos splitting up and forming new teams. This change has brought excitement to the season, with familiar frontrunners emerging.

Team Peterbot, consisting of Peter “Peterbot” Kata, Joshua “Cold” Butler, and Maguire “Ritual” Morton, has shown dominance in the 2025 season by placing 2nd at Major 1 and winning Major 2 and 3. Peterbot, known as one of the best in the world, is accompanied by Ritual and Cold, who previously won the EWC 2024 as a duo.

Team Pollo
Team Pollo, comprising Miguel “Pollo” Moreno, Aidan “Ajerss” Bernero, and Abdullah “Acorn” Akhras, secured victory in Major 1 in NA Central and claimed 2nd place at Major 3. With the inclusion of Canadian legend Acorn, young talent Ajerss, and the 2024 world champion Pollo, they are strong contenders to lift the trophy on September 7.

Both teams hail from the competitive NA Central region and have faced off multiple times across all three Majors this year, with Team Peterbot narrowly edging out victories.
Other notable competitors at the FNCS Global Championship 2025 who could potentially upset the favorites include Team Veno, Team Queasy, Team Pixie, and Team PabloWingo. Additionally, the teams led by 2022 champions, Kami and Setty, are aiming to achieve a repeat world championship, although they are not the frontrunners.
With a substantial prize pool of $2,001,000 and the coveted title of world champion at stake, anything can happen in the Grand Final. The competition involves six games per day on September 6 and 7, totaling 12 games, with the team accumulating the highest overall score from placements and eliminations emerging victorious.
While luck plays a part in battle royales, these top professionals showcase consistent performance under pressure, making the path to the Grand Final seem effortless.
