An exciting announcement was made by the National Football League (NFL) and Livewire this week regarding the upcoming tenth episode of their show, “NFL Race to the End Zone powered by Verizon.” The episode will showcase Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and Kansas City-based Fortnite content creator LEGIQN.
Both individuals will venture to GEHA Field at Arrowhead to see if LEGIQN has what it takes to represent the Chiefs in the season-ending Fortnite tournament. To secure this spot, LEGIQN will need to survive a Kansas City barbecue-themed relay and keep up with one of the league’s most dynamic wide receivers both on the field and in the game.
Viewers can catch new episodes of the show every Thursday at 2:00 p.m. EST on the NFL YouTube channels, with select clips also available on the NFL’s Instagram and TikTok channels. The aim of this season, which consists of a total of 21 episodes, is to assemble teams for a Fortnite Pro-Am event during Super Bowl LX week, featuring 19 teams sponsored by Verizon.
For those interested, previously released episodes can be accessed on the NFL YouTube channel and DAZN.
Livewire, a gaming-focused marketing firm, recently announced a strategic multi-year partnership with the National Football League (NFL) to introduce this new series in July.
On another note, the Kansas City Chiefs is also home to David Higdon, who assumed the role of executive vice-president of communications in January. Higdon previously held various executive public relations and marketing positions at Riot Games, the maker of League of Legends and Valorant, where he played a key role in shaping coverage for numerous global esports initiatives.
