Griffin Gaming Partners, a venture capital firm, has acquired a 3.24% equity stake in TinyBuild, a developer and publisher.
The finance firm noted that TinyBuild has been focusing on developing its own intellectual property portfolio while also establishing sustainable franchises with a global presence.
Following this investment news, TinyBuild’s stock price has experienced a 5% increase today.
Established in 2011, TinyBuild is renowned for its intellectual properties such as Hello Neighbor, Speed Runners, and Party Hard.
“The indie gaming sector remains a highly engaging segment of the industry, consistently producing some of the most enduring franchises in gaming,” remarked Griffin partner Frankie Zhu.
“TinyBuild has curated a unique collection of intellectual property with significant long-term potential, and we are thrilled to join as shareholders and be a part of the company’s future endeavors.”
Alex Nichiporchik, CEO and co-founder of TinyBuild, expressed his satisfaction with Griffin Gaming Partners joining as a shareholder. He highlighted Griffin’s expertise in the gaming industry and their investment as a vote of confidence in TinyBuild’s strategy, focus on original intellectual property, diverse portfolio, and growth prospects.
In 2025, TinyBuild achieved notable success with the indie title The King is Watching, a roguelite kingdom builder that has sold over 500,000 copies since its launch. This success was partly attributed to a strategic emphasis on the Chinese market and updates made by Valve on Steam.
Most recently, the company introduced Sand: Raiders of Sophie, which has surpassed 150,000 copies sold within the first five days of its release.
