G2 Esports has recently expanded its presence in the competitive gaming world by entering another one of Riot Games’ popular titles. Known for its success in games like League of Legends and Valorant, G2 Esports is now venturing into Riot’s autobattler game, Teamfight Tactics. The organization made headlines by signing four talented French players: Laurent ‘Pas de Bol’ Cidere, Muhammed ‘Canbizz’ Canbaz, Emre ‘Double61’ Demirtas, and Enzo ‘Enzosx’ Bordonzotti. Notably, Canbaz and Demirtas have previously showcased their skills under the banner of the French team Karmine Corp.

This move marks G2 Esports’ first foray into TFT since 2022, as reported by Liquipedia.

Teamfight Tactics enthusiasts can look forward to the game’s presence at the Esports World Cup in July 2026, where a substantial $500K prize pool will be up for grabs. The tournament will host 16 teams, determined through an open qualifier system. While TFT typically emphasizes individual competition, the EWC will introduce a team-based format, prompting organizations to recruit multiple players for the upcoming season.

Aside from the Esports World Cup, Riot Games also organizes its own competitive circuit for TFT. Each TFT set concludes with the prestigious Tactician’s Crown tournament, scheduled next towards the end of March. The 2026 season is set to wrap up with the highly anticipated Vegas Open in December.

In recent times, several esports organizations have followed suit by signing players for specific esports disciplines after their inclusion in the Esports World Cup lineup.
