The Fortnite Championship Series 2026 Major 1 Summit is almost here, and the organizers have big plans for the series’ German debut. This beloved esports event is just a small part of an extended weekend, FNCS 2026 Major 1 Summit Week, and here are all the details for fans.
FNCS 2026 Major 1 Summit Week dates, venue & format
PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf will host this event from May 29 to 31. This famous hockey stadium, which has a maximum capacity of around 15,000 spectators, will be converted into an esports arena for the occasion.
Organizers Epic Games and BLAST have planned many activities across three days, as per this schedule:
- Friday, May 29: Doors open at 15:00 CEST; Pre-show at 17:00 CEST / 11:00 ET; Game 1 at 18:00 CEST / 12:00 ET
- Saturday, May 30: Doors open at 14:00 CEST; Pre-show at 16:00 CEST / 10:00 ET; Game 1 at 17:00 CEST / 11:00 ET
- Sunday, May 31: Doors open at 14:00 CEST; Pre-show at 16:00 CEST / 10:00 ET; Game 1 at 17:00 CEST / 11:00 ET
In terms of the esports action, the event will be broken down into three match days. On Friday, the 50 qualified Duos from Major 1 play six games in the Upper Bracket, with the top 25 Duos advancing directly to the Grand Finals.
On Saturday, the bottom 25 Duos from Friday will join the 25 Duos from the Major 1 Second Chance Qualifier for six games in the Lower Bracket. If a Duo gets a Victory Royale, they automatically advance to the Grand Finals.

Alongside the six Duos who earn a Victory Royale, the top 19 Duos in consistency after six games will move on to the Grand Finals. Finally, on Championship Sunday, the Grand Finals are played over eight games by the 50 qualified Duos, and the FNCS Summit Champions will be crowned.

Like a lot of other esports titles, Fortnite’s community streaming scene is pretty robust, and the game depends a lot on these channels for high viewership numbers. A total of 75 Duos have earned themselves a spot at the FNCS Major 1 Summit LAN. They represent every Fortnite Competitive region, including Europe, North America, Brazil and the Middle East, and the top 15 Duos will book their tickets to the Fortnite Global Championship.

A total of 49 different FNCS champions will be participating at the Major 1 Summit, with their combined wins count coming to 120. The two North American regions are sending 17 FNCS winners, while Europe comes next with 13 such players.
Europe has provided the most competitors, with as many as 28 Duos coming from here. These players came through the Major 1 qualifiers and the Second Chance Qualifiers. The breakdown of the other regions is as follows:
- North America Central: 20
- NA West: 5
- Brazil: 7
- Asia: 5
- Middle East: 5
- Oceania: 5
In terms of countries, the United States has the most representation, sending 34 players out of a total of 150 to this Fortnite competition. Australia, France and Japan are the only other nations to have ten or more players participating in London, with ten pros coming from each of these places.
The hype among fans at the FNCS 2026 Major 1 Summit could see a renewed Europe versus NA rivalry. The former won the last FNCS Grand Finals to end previous North American dominance, so there is strong interest in which region comes out on top this time.
Peterbot (with Polio) is many followers’ “player to beat,” while Shark has emerged as a key aggressive European player. As a consequence, many fans are eagerly anticipating a potential showdown between Shark and Peterbot.
