At the recent Xbox Partner Preview event in March 2026, it was revealed that AdHoc Studio’s popular superhero adventure game, Dispatch, will soon be available on Xbox Series X/S consoles. Unlike the censored versions on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, the Xbox Series version will remain uncensored, just like the PC and PS5 versions of the game.
After the announcement on AdHoc Studio’s social media page, concerns about censorship were quickly raised by fans. The community was taken aback by the censorship in the Switch versions, leading to confusion until AdHoc clarified the situation.
Fortunately, the Xbox version of Dispatch will not face the same fate as the Switch versions when it comes to censorship.
However, the situation with the Switch and Switch 2 versions remains unresolved, as AdHoc Studio continues to work with Nintendo to find a solution. The studio assured fans that they are actively working on an update to address the censorship concerns.
There is uncertainty surrounding whether the Switch and Switch 2 versions will ever match the uncensored versions available on other platforms. Due to censorship laws in Japan and potential financial constraints, there is a possibility that Dispatch may remain censored on Nintendo consoles.
