In a groundbreaking move, Oli Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon fame has joined forces with Riot Games for a special project. The VCT Champions 2026 anthem, titled “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight,” features Oli alongside Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox and producer Grabbitz.

Crafted by Grabbitz, the track is set to launch globally on all major streaming platforms this fall, just in time for the VALORANT Champions Shanghai 2026 Finals.

Oli Sykes Takes the Lead in New Riot Games Project for Valorant

Known for his prominent role in the British metalcore scene, Oli Sykes and Bring Me The Horizon stand out as one of the genre’s biggest acts. This collaboration marks Oli’s first venture with Riot and VALORANT, reflecting his journey from watching esports at Pixel Bar to becoming part of this exciting project.

Courtney LaPlante, following her successful collaboration with 2XKO on Riot’s fighting game title, joins forces with Oli and Grabbitz on this project. Grabbitz, the track’s producer, describes their collaboration as the ultimate VALORANT anthem, blending electronic elements with the heavier sounds of BMTH and Spiritbox.

This marks Grabbitz’s fourth collaboration within the Valorant universe, following the success of “Die for You” in 2021, “Fire Again” in 2022 featuring Ashnikko, and “Ticking Away” in 2023 with bbno$. Together, these tracks have garnered over 350 million streams worldwide.

Expressing her excitement for the project, LaPlante shares, “I’m thrilled to release this song! Working with Oli, whom I’ve had the pleasure of performing with live many times, and with Grabbitz’s incredible production, we’ve created a track that showcases all our strengths and styles.“

Oli Sykes adds, “I’ve always been drawn to projects that blend music and storytelling, so collaborating with Riot Games, Grabbitz, and Courtney for VALORANT felt like a natural fit.“

The VALORANT Champions Shanghai 2026 Finals will take place from September 24th to October 18th, bringing together the top 16 teams from around the world to compete for the championship.

This collaboration continues Riot Games’ tradition of partnering with major rock acts, having previously worked with Linkin Park, Against The Current, Imagine Dragons, and even ventured into other genres with artists like Lil Nas X.
