A new variant of the high-performance Arrow Lake HX SKU has been quietly introduced, with its official specifications now revealed on the official page.
Intel Core Ultra 7 251HX Launches Officially: 6 Performance and 12 Efficient Cores, Up To 5.1 GHz Turbo, and 3 Xe3 GPU Cores
Intel has silently launched a smaller version of the Core Ultra 7 255HX. This new processor, the Core Ultra 7 251HX, was previously spotted in laptop listings about two weeks ago, and now it has been confirmed to be a real product. Intel has officially released it without any formal announcement, and the product page is now live on the official Intel website.
The specifications of the Core Ultra 7 251HX differ from its larger counterpart, the 255HX. Instead of a 20-core/20-thread configuration, the 251HX features an 18-core/18-thread setup. Despite this difference, many specifications remain the same as the 255HX, including the TDP range (45W-160W), 30 MB L2 and L3 cache, and other similar features. The most significant change is the reduction in Performance cores, as the Ultra 7 251HX now comes with just 6-P cores instead of 8.

The number of Efficient cores remains the same as the 255HX, positioning the Ultra 7 251HX between the Core Ultra 5 245HX and Core Ultra 7 255HX. The Ultra 7 251HX boasts a Max Turbo frequency of up to 5.1 GHz, slightly lower than the 255HX. Despite the lower turbo clock, the 251HX offers a significantly higher Efficient-core base clock of 2.5 GHz, a 700 MHz increase compared to the 255HX. Additionally, the P-Core base frequency has also been raised by 500 MHz.
However, the 251HX comes with reduced integrated graphics, featuring only three Xe3 cores instead of four. This not only diminishes its graphical capabilities but also lowers the overall AI TOPS. The Core Ultra 7 251HX is capable of delivering 30 AI TOPS of performance, compared to 33 AI TOPS from the Core Ultra 7 255HX.
