Razer has completed the acquisition of StreamElements, a cloud-based live streaming platform.

With this asset purchase, Razer now possesses StreamElements’ technology, brand, and operations. However, Live Momentum remains responsible for the previous debts of the business, including outstanding payments to content creators before the deal was finalized.

StreamElements offers a range of tools such as custom overlays, stream alerts, chatbots, tipping pages, and sponsorship management. Razer has assured that tipping services will continue uninterrupted.

Razer’s co-founder and CEO, Min-Liang Tan, emphasized the importance of content creators and live streamers within the Razer community. He stated, “StreamElements has developed a platform that millions of creators rely on each day. By welcoming them into the Razer family, we can further support and empower creators.”

StreamElements’ co-founder and CEO, Or Perry, expressed his belief that Razer shares a deep understanding of the creator community and their dedication to delivering exceptional experiences.

Razer has outlined plans for closer integration between StreamElements and its existing creator-focused products, including Razer Chroma, Razer Gold, Razer Silver, and Razer ID, in the future.

While the financial details of the deal were not disclosed by either company, Tan recently highlighted the importance of providing tools that assist studios in creating high-quality games rather than relying on “generative AI slop.”
