The grand final between BB Team and PARIVISION emerged as the most-watched match of the tournament, reaching a peak of 328.8K viewers. This figure still falls short of last year’s final match between Team Spirit and Team Falcons, which garnered 428.2K viewers.
The presence of three Russian teams in the semifinals and an all-Russian final might have limited the event’s appeal to a broader Dota 2 audience. Even Russian-language broadcasts experienced a decline, with average viewership dropping by 17% and peak viewers decreasing by 7.9%. This decline occurred despite comparable airtime and impressive numbers from top community streamers like Alexey “Solo” Berezin and Oleg “Stray228” Bocharov setting new channel viewership records during the event.
English, Spanish, and Indonesian broadcasts also witnessed a decrease in viewership, underscoring Dota 2’s heavy reliance on its Eastern European and Russian-speaking fan base. While EWC 2026 did resonate with core fans, the reduced international interest capped its overall reach.
