Death Stranding 2: On the Beach recently arrived on PC following its debut on PS5 in June 2025. Fans of the original game on PC eagerly awaited this port, and according to Alinea Analytics, their anticipation was reflected in the port’s sales figures.
The latest newsletter from the company estimates that the game has sold 425K copies on Steam so far, adding to the 1.6 million copies sold on PS5 (primarily at launch), bringing the total sales to over 2 million copies.
The PC release also had a positive impact on PS5 sales, as the game was discounted on the console around the same time as its PC launch. While previous sales events had boosted sales, this particular discount coinciding with the PC release led to a significant spike in copies sold, as reported by Alinea Analytics.

This new port has injected fresh momentum into the game, bringing it back into the spotlight for players who may not have tried it at launch. For PC gamers, this marks the official launch day, offering a new avenue to experience the game.
“The Steam version of Death Stranding 2 now represents 21% of total copies,” noted analyst Rhys Elliot. “In revenue terms, Death Stranding 2 has generated over $110M on PS5 and $32.6M on Steam. When factoring in sales from Epic, it’s evident that Death Stranding 2 has surpassed $150M.”
Elsewhere, Alinea Analytics reported that Bungie’s new extraction shooter, Marathon, achieved 1.2 million copies sold, while MegaCrit’s highly-anticipated sequel, Slay the Spire 2, reached 4.6 million copies sold. The latest update now indicates a combined total of 5 million copies sold.
