The Exciting Rumor Surrounding GTA 6’s PC Release in 2027
Speculations are swirling in the gaming world as GamesBeat recently reported that Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive are gearing up to launch the PC version of GTA 6 in the first quarter of 2027. While this news has sent shockwaves through the community, it’s important to consider the credibility of such claims, especially when it comes to highly anticipated titles like Grand Theft Auto.
Assessing the Likelihood
If the rumors are indeed true, this would mark a significant milestone for Rockstar Games, known for their meticulous approach to game development and release schedules. Looking back at their previous titles and the gap between console and PC launches, a Q1 2027 release would be notably quicker than their usual timeline.
- Grand Theft Auto IV: 7 months between console and PC release
- L.A. Noire: 6 months between console and PC release
- Grand Theft Auto V: 1.5 years between console and PC release
- Red Dead Redemption 2: Just over a year between console and PC release
With GTA 6 slated for a console launch in November 2026, a potential PC release in early 2027 could signify a shortened waiting period for PC players compared to previous Rockstar titles.
Evidence and Industry Insights
Industry figures and insiders have also hinted at a possible expedited release for GTA 6. Corsair Gaming CEO Andrew Paul previously mentioned an early 2026 release window, aligning with the current speculations. Additionally, VGC’s Andy Robinson suggested that market pressures may be pushing Rockstar to accelerate the game’s launch.
Furthermore, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy has hinted at an online multiplayer launch window in 2027, adding to the anticipation surrounding GTA 6’s release. The potential synchronization of the PC version and multiplayer launch remains a topic of intrigue within the gaming community.

As the gaming world eagerly awaits more concrete information about GTA 6’s PC release, the buzz surrounding this rumor continues to grow.
