Curve Games and Wayfinder Studios have joined forces to release Wyldheart, an online co-op RPG.

CEO of Curve Games, Stuart Dinsey, expressed the company’s commitment to investing in unique games and talented independent studios, citing Wyldheart as a prime example of their future direction.

This collaboration marks the next step in Curve Games’ journey following its acquisition by Nazara Technologies for £21.7 million last May.

Wayfinder Studios, based in Sweden and established in 2020 by former EA DICE veterans, including Dennis Brännvall, Fia Tjernberg, Manne Ederyd, and Adam Clark, is behind the creation of Wyldheart.

Wyldheart, their debut title, has garnered over 375,000 wishlists on Steam and successfully raised €248,000 through a Kickstarter campaign.

In a statement, Brännvall expressed gratitude for the positive reception to Wyldheart and highlighted the importance of finding the right partner in Curve Games to continue the game’s success.

Tjernberg previously shared with GamesIndustry.biz that Wayfinder Studios aims to innovate within a genre that has not seen much change, emphasizing their interest in persistent worlds and MMOs with private servers.

The team’s background in AAA gaming has influenced their approach to creating a personalized gaming experience for players, focusing on community-driven gameplay akin to private servers in games like Minecraft or Valheim.
