Today, we caught a glimpse of its retail box, confirming the existence of the real 10-Year AM4 Anniversary edition.
This information comes from the same source @9550pro, who shared a preview of how the retail box for the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10-Year AM4 Anniversary edition will look. The design of the box remains largely unchanged from the original, with the addition of Anniversary branding at the bottom. The processor is expected to be released in Q2 of 2026, so an official announcement from AMD could be imminent.
The Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10 Year AM4 Anniversary edition will maintain the same specifications as its original launch. This means it will feature the same Zen 3 architecture, an 8-core/16-thread setup, speeds up to 4.5 GHz, and a total L3 cache of 96 MB. It stands out as the first Ryzen chip to incorporate the 3D V-Cache technology, which increased its L3 cache from 32 MB to 96 MB by introducing a dedicated L3 cache chiplet.
Thanks to this innovation, the 5800X3D outperformed higher-end Ryzen 5000 CPUs in gaming and stood on par with the Ryzen 7000 series. With the availability of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, AM4 owners can elevate their system’s gaming performance by upgrading from non-X3D or older Ryzen chips. Particularly beneficial for 1080p gaming when combined with high-end GPUs, this processor ensures that DDR4-based AM4 platforms can continue to thrive amidst the current high DDR5 prices.
