T1 suffered a 1-2 defeat against Dplus KIA in the first round of the 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) regular season at LoL PARK in Jongno on the 17th. Despite a strong comeback in the second set, T1 couldn’t maintain their momentum and ultimately lost in the final set.
Acting Head Coach Lim Jae-hyeon expressed his disappointment after the match, mentioning, “We had a good position in the third set, but we made mistakes and failed to coordinate as a team quickly. Our communication during the mid-game needs improvement, and we will be working on that.”
Below is the complete post-match interview with Acting Head Coach Lim Jae-hyeon and ‘Keria’ Ryu Min-seok.

Q. What are your thoughts on today’s loss?
Acting Head Coach Lim Jae-hyeon= I observed good focus from the players in the first and second sets. However, it’s disappointing that we couldn’t hold onto our lead in the third set due to mistakes and lack of teamwork.
‘Keria’ Ryu Min-seok= We had opportunities to win in the second set as well, but we couldn’t close it out cleanly. In the third set, despite being ahead, we faced challenges in the mid-game that cost us the match.
Q. Why did you choose the Mel-Pyke bot lane combo in the third set?
Acting Head Coach Lim Jae-hyeon= We felt that Annie and Jarvan IV were viable picks. ‘Keria’ is highly skilled with Pyke, and with sensitive matchups in mid and top lanes, he strongly recommended it. We decided on Mel last minute for its wave-clear ability and synergy with Pyke.
Q. What disappointed you the most about the team’s performance today?
‘Keria’ Ryu Min-seok= Despite securing priority in every lane and a good early game flow, we struggled to capitalize on advantages as a team. This inefficiency accumulated, making it challenging for us.
Q. What does T1 need to regain its former strength?
‘Keria’ Ryu Min-seok= While skirmishing was crucial in the past, the current meta requires a more disciplined approach, especially when ahead. We need to improve in these areas to enhance our performance.
Q. How do you plan to improve before facing DRX in two days?
Acting Head Coach Lim Jae-hyeon= The lack of team communication during the mid-game was a significant issue. We will focus on rectifying this to deliver a better performance in the next match.
Q. Any message for the fans?
Acting Head Coach Lim Jae-hyeon= I apologize to the fans for today’s 1-2 loss. We will work hard, address our weaknesses, and aim to win the next match.
‘Keria’ Ryu Min-seok= It’s disappointing to lose when we were eager to win. We will prepare diligently for the upcoming game and strive to deliver a winning performance.
