Elaine Green has been appointed as the new chair of UK trade body TIGA.
With over two decades of experience in game development and publishing, Green is well-equipped for her new role.
She is currently the director of Nellyvision, a studio based in Brighton that she co-founded back in 2010. Green has been a member of the TIGA board since 2013.
Green takes over from Jason Kingsley, the co-founder, CEO, and creative director of Rebellion, who played a key role in establishing TIGA in 2001.
In her statement, Green expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “I am honored to lead TIGA during this crucial and thrilling period.”
She also thanked the board members for their trust in her and Jason for his ongoing support of TIGA.
Green emphasized the importance of TIGA in advocating for the UK games industry and her commitment to supporting studios of all sizes in their growth.
She looks forward to collaborating closely with the board, the team, and the members to strengthen TIGA’s existing foundation and shape a sustainable and innovative future for the sector.
Richard Wilson, the CEO of TIGA, welcomed Elaine Green’s appointment, praising her extensive experience in games development and publishing, as well as her leadership skills.
He highlighted the crucial role TIGA plays in supporting and expanding the UK games industry, including advocating for enhanced Video Games Expenditure Credit and fostering partnerships with educational institutions.
