World of Warcraft: Midnight

World of Warcraft: Midnight is the upcoming major expansion for the MMO. The pre-release event, Twilight Ascension, is currently ongoing, setting the stage for what is to come in 2026.

The developer stream recently unveiled the roadmap for the upcoming months, introducing new features not only for Midnight but also for WoW Classic.

Roadmap for WoW: Midnight

WoW: Midnight is set to launch on March 3, 2026, with exciting content lined up. Along with the main campaign, players can expect:

• 4 new zones
• 10 new depths
• 8 new dungeons
• 3 new raids
• The new allied race, the Haranir
• The new loot system

The three raids will be released gradually, starting with the Kluftstrum raid featuring six bosses, followed by two smaller mini-raids with one boss each. The roadmap hints at more raids in future patches, which will maintain a smaller scale.

Patch 12.0.5 will introduce Void Assaults and Prop Hunt – challenging players to battle void monsters invading new areas and participate in a prop hunt mode.

Subsequent patches will introduce storylines, quests, new dungeons and depths, another zone, and the Timeways meta-event featuring new challenges and rewards. A standout feature is The Labyrinths, massive versions of depths inspired by Shadowfang Keep’s mega-dungeons, open to solo adventurers in Patch 12.1.5.

Additionally, a new game mode developed by the Plunderstorm event creators is in the works, with details yet to be revealed.

Roadmap for WoW Classic

For fans of classic WoW, there is plenty to look forward to this year. The Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary Edition will soon launch, expanding over four (and a half) phases, featuring the chess game in Karazhan and Magtheridon.

Mists of Pandaria will also continue, starting with the release of Escalation, introducing a fresh campaign and new battleground, followed by the Battle for Orgrimmar.
